What is the time commitment?

The time commitment for volunteering at CASA del Valle varies depending on the case each volunteer is assigned. When you are first assigned a case, gaining familiarity is more time intensive, but on average volunteers can spend three to four hours a week on an ongoing case.

What are the qualifications?

To volunteer at CASA del Valle, you must be at least 18 years old and pass a background check and  complete all necessary training, home visits and monthly court appearances.

What can I expect?

As a volunteer at CASA del Valle, you can expect to receive training and ongoing support from our team. You can expect to work with children involved in dependency and neglect cases here in the San Luis Valley, as an advocate throughout their cases in the court system. Experience personal growth while promoting a healthy community and making a direct impact in a child's life.

CASA del Valle Volunteer Training

Empowering Volunteers with Essential Skills and Knowledge for Making a Difference

Welcome to the CASA del Valle Volunteer Training. In person training hours are required to be completed to become a CASA volunteer.  Training is done on a rolling basis.  CASA del Valle will contact you to set up your training once your background check and application are completed.

Our volunteer training program equips participants with the necessary expertise to support and advocate for children in need.
