Providing Safety and Support for Children in Need

Our Story

Why did we start this organization?

Community members from the San Luis Valley became aware that our judges, who make critical decisions about the futures of children and youth, lack vital information about what is in the child or youth's best interest because Colorado law changed.  These community members worked to establish CASA del Valle so that CASA volunteers are available for court appointments to ensure judges are fully informed about the child or youth's life.

Empowering

Our Mission and Vision

Our mission is to enlist, screen, and train community members to help break the cycle of abuse and neglect through prevention, advocacy and intervention.  CASA del Valle aims to provide opportunities for children, youth and families to thrive.

Our Vision

Our vision is to address the needs of children and youth that fall through the cracks.  We investigate, find resources, and advocate for best interests both within the courtroom and outside of the courtroom by building community support for children and youth in need.
